On 19 November 2026, Finance Innovation's InsurDay celebrates its fifth edition at the Hôtel Le Marois. David Dumont, co-founder and chairman of OIB Solutions, will speak at the first round table of the day: "100% AI underwriting: myth or operational reality?"

Date
19 November 2026
Time
09:30 - 10:00
Venue
Hôtel Le Marois, Paris

The round table

Real-time scoring, lighter questionnaires, pricing closer to the risk: AI is moving into underwriting, but few projects have gone beyond the proof-of-concept stage. Underwriters, actuaries and CIOs will share what works in production, what gets in the way, and where human expertise must stay on complex risks, balancing model performance with the need for explainability.

Tomorrow, the customer's agent will talk to the insurer

David Dumont will make the case that the next step for underwriting is agent to agent. Customers will hand their search to a personal AI agent that knows them better than any questionnaire. That agent will browse offers, request quotes, analyse coverage and compare it with the customer's real needs, talking directly to the systems of insurers, MGAs and brokers.

An insurance product that AI agents cannot access simply will not exist in their comparison.

The infrastructure OIB provides

For this dialogue to work in production, not just in a demo, OIB Solutions gives insurers, MGAs and brokers a three-layer infrastructure:

  • The insurance product factory, to design and launch new products quickly
  • An API layer, generated automatically from each product's configuration
  • A secure MCP layer, which makes those products readable and purchasable by AI agents

The agent holds the conversation, but pricing and acceptance rules remain those of the product the insurer configured. That is what keeps AI underwriting explainable and under control, and what lets risks that need human expertise be routed to an underwriter.

See you on 19 November

In the afternoon, a second round table will tackle fraud in the age of AI and deepfakes. The full programme and invitation request are available online.
